OUR
Partnerships
As part of our commitment to supporting our country's goal of becoming carbon-neutral by 2050, we are committed to mitigating the carbon emissions produced during our construction process. For each home we build, we gift native trees through our partnership with Trees That Count.
Furthermore, we recognise the importance of preserving New Zealand's unique biodiversity and we are proud to be a premium partner of the 'Save the Kiwi' recovery programme. Our contributions to the programme help protect the kiwi, a symbol of New Zealand's natural heritage. With these efforts, we are working towards a better future for New Zealand.
We extend our commitment to the environment to our people as well, through a partnership with Mates in Construction - a charitable organisation that focuses on promoting mental health awareness and support in the construction sector.
As leaders in our industry, we firmly believe that building homes should not come at the expense of our environment. We recognise the significance of our natural spaces and view them as a taonga, a treasure, that we share a collective responsibility to restore and preserve for generations to come.
We acknowledged that accurately measuring the carbon emissions produced during the construction of a typical home was a complex task. As a result, we enlisted the expertise of a sustainability specialist to conduct a comprehensive assessment of our sector's home-building footprint. This assessment examined a range of factors, including supply chain and material sourcing, transportation and fuel, and production.
The research showed us that the construction of a single home resulted in emissions that can be mitigated by planting 45 native trees per build. With the aim of minimising our environmental impact, we have partnered with Trees That Count to donate critical funds for the cultivation and planting of native trees for every home we build. In doing so, we hope to counterbalance the emissions generated during the construction process and make a positive contribution to a greener, more sustainable future.

We are proud to be contributing to the biodiversity of New Zealand through our partnership with Save the Kiwi. As a charitable organisation dedicated solely to safeguarding and increasing the population of our beloved national icon, the kiwi, Save the Kiwi is making a real difference.
For each home we construct, we contribute crucial funding to Save the Kiwi's predator protection programmes, kiwi release initiatives, and volunteer workforce. Our shared goal is to create a future where kiwi and other native wildlife can thrive in safe, natural habitats.
By partnering with Save the Kiwi, we strive to make a meaningful impact on the conservation of New Zealand's precious wildlife.
Although preventing injuries and hazards is critical for taking care of our people on construction sites, we believe that there is much more that we can do. That's why we’re a proud partner of Mates in Construction, a non-profit organisation dedicated to reducing the alarming rates of mental illness and suicide in the construction industry.
Mates in Construction has a team of dedicated Field Officers throughout New Zealand who engage with workers through on-site training. They identify those at risk and provide them with case management support.
The MATES team is highly trained in suicide intervention skills and trains companies on the signs to look out for and how to best support those suffering from mental health issues, connecting them to the right support people.
By partnering with Mates in Construction, we are taking an active step towards mental health and suicide prevention in the construction industry.
