On a 1004m² site, Te Ara features three buildings with eighteen one-bedroom homes delivered for Emerge Aotearoa. Located on Luke Street in Otahuhu, it is a modern community housing project designed by TOA Architects, drafted by Wingate Architects and structurally engineered by Markplan Consulting Engineers.

A meaningful addition is a 4-metre-high concrete waka prow, which adds an artistic touch to the development. This was donated by Signature in recognition of our long-standing relationship with Emerge Aotearoa and their clients.

The name ‘Te Ara’ (meaning ‘the pathway’) was generously gifted by Waikato-Tainui and is bestowed to the development and the waka prow.
